Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Circle Doily

Here is my entry for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for this week.  The goal is to create either a circle card or square card similar to the sketch design that is displayed.  I decided to go round today.

Goodies used to create this card:
(all items listed are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted)
  • Cardstock:
    • River Rock - lacey circle card body
    • Always Artichoke - 2nd layer mat
  • Ink:
    • Read Red - cardinal
    • Bravo Burgundy-flowers
    • Cherry Cobbler - flowers
    • Garden Green - leaves
    • Crumb Cake - flower pot
  • Beveled Windowpanes
  • Designer Ribbon
  • Linen Thread
  • A Flower for all Seasons stamp set
  • Aqua Painter
  • Watercolor Crayons
  • Stampin' Pastels
  • Paper from my stash
  • Nestabilities Lacey Circle Die
  • Big Shot

To make the circle card, I folded the cardstock in half and omitted the top folded portion of the cardstock out of the die so it would not be cut.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hand Penned Thanksgiving

Good afternoon!

I hope everyone is enjoying their turkey day!  Unfortunately I am not feeling well, so I will be staying home alone while Bill & the kids go to Aunt Diana's for Thanksgiving feast.  I'm hoping  they will remember to bring a "doggy bag" for me.  ")

Anyway, this card actually started out to be something else and this is what it has evolved into.  It's larger than the traditional 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 so it won't be able to be placed into an envelope.  Wouldn't want to put it in an envelope, anyway because the sentiment is raised in some area's.  I did it like this to create more 3rd dimensional.

Items used to create this card:
  • French Foliage
  • Hand-Penned Holidays
  • Button
  • Cutter Kit
  • Distressing Essentials
  • Hemp Twine
  • Perfect Pearls
  • Dotted Scallop Punch
  • Velum
  • Daubers
I love the way the Perfect Pearls medium from Ranger dances in the light.  The color is vibrant to look at first hand.

Stockings are Hung with Great Care

Good evening Stampers!  The only place I have stockings hung is here on this cute card!  lol  I'm trying to get in the Christmas Mode, but having a hard time getting started.

I figured I would start making Christmas cards so I can get them sent off in a timely manor so people can actually get them on time before Christmas.  lol

This card was inspired by Leonie Schroder.

Items used to create this card:
  • Stamp Set:  Stitched Stockings
  • Bird Builder Punch for the flames
  • Circle Punch for the Hearth
  • Simply Scored for scoring the bricks
  • Square Lattice Embossing Folder
  • Daubers
  • Brads
  • SU Designer Paper
This was a really fun card to make.  I'm glad I came across it.

I hope everyone has a safe & happy evening!
