Gate - Fold Thank You Card w/ envelope

Greetings!
I decided to shake it up a little bit this time,  so i made a gate - fold card with a matching envelope. I don't think it turned out too bad.

And here is the inside of the card: (notice the silver do-dad in the top middle of the card?   I used. A foil rub-on from Crafter's Companion and finished it with a Thank You sentiment Edgables die.

And on the front of the card:
I added a couple different Butterflies and some sequins.

Hello

Greetings!

I love brown and pink together,  I always have.

I used this full flower background and cut it out with my Sizzix Big Shot Switch Plus in pink and then matted with SU's Chocolate Chip cardstock.

I cut out a shape from SU'S Apothecary Accents Framelits and then embossed it with SU'S Polkadot Embossing folder,  and then adorned with the hello sentiment,  SU's flower punchouts w/ paper punch and SU's halfback pearls.

Distressed Embossing

Greetings!

I was looking online for an interesting technique that I haven't done in a while and decided to settle on the Distressed Embossing technique that I found and now that my cards have been completed, I cannot find the website any more.  (I hate it when that happens) Rest assured, though when I come across the site again, I'll update it here so the original author can get the recognition she deserves.

For the time being, here are the 3 variations I did.

After embossing a piece of Stampin' Up! Designer Paper with a chosen embossing folder, with a sanding block I began to lightly rub the sanding block along the raised-up images, which sanded off any color that was once on the Designer paper and left the core of the cardstock, which was white.

Please forgive the lack of colors to show through...  the background on the first card was teal, the second card is a dark denim background, and the third one is a graple kind of purple color with the cardstock of Wisteria Wonder.  For some reason none of these colors shown through.

Wonderful Butterflies

Greetings!
A simple card I created using a card sketch from Stampin Pretty. Sketch #39 got my attention this time.

The butterfly is embossed with Tourmaline Pearl embossing powder from Recollections,  halfback bling gems,  and a double bow.

Loving Wishes - Christmas Card

This project is a card on a card. Thought i would try something different.  It feels weird making a Christmas card in March, but they've got to be made sometime. At least maybe I'll have my stash built up by the time the Holidays roll around and I won't have to be in such a hurry. (It's a good thought, anyway.)

And here is the opened version...

A Little Birdie Told Me - Happy Birthday

This is my first attempt at a pop- up card. I don't think it looks too bad. I did some heat embossing on this card as well. I embossed Trish's name on the banner across the front of the card and the bows at each end.

When you open the card the sentiment Happy Birthday jumps out at you. It's different,  but in a cool way.

Fanciful Sympathy for our Pastor in Flourishing Phrases

We just found out that our Pastor has been diagnosed with Cancer and is at stage 4 in his illness, so I thought I would make him a card to show or love and support. We have a lot of Cancer patients in our congregation and he has been so good to the families,  breaking away to tend to them at a moments notice and leading us to the promise land when it is our turn to join the Lord.

Little did we know that while he was giving himself unselfishly that he,  too will be walking the familiar path of so many others before him.

This card was really difficult to photograph because it's not a normal run of the mill card. It has like a book spine. I was trying to capture the black shiny embossed sentiment,  the silver accent in the ribbon,  and the bling gems on the front of the card.

The next challenge was holding the card just right so you can see the special folds of the card AND the greeting. Anyway,  hope I didn't miss anything...

Floral Hello

Greetings!   Today is such a beautiful day!   The sun is shining,  the snow is melting,  and the bullies are happy to sun themselves.

For this card I rounded up a bunch of generic flower stamps with matching dies. Finished with a bow and some half-back pearls in the corner.

Thanks - Secret Garden

Here's a quick card I threw together with the matching Secret Garden stamp and die set. Because I adorned the center of the flowers with SU's Dazzling Diamonds I won't be able to send this card in the bundle that goes over seas for our soldiers. They cannot accept anything that has glitter because the reflection is like a beacon when using night scopes and we don't want our soldiers to be put in a vulnerable position where they could be spotted in the field by an enemy. Even if they are not handling the card it in the field,  the glitter sticks to everything and can be on their face or hands. Anywhere, it's better to just err on the side of caution and not use glitter.

Thank You in Tempting Turquoise

I had to hold the card and tilt it in the light to get just the right reflection off the bronze embossing I did on the flowers.

Perfect & Hip Hooray

My grandson Keegan was bored today when he joined me in my craft area and declared he wanted to make a card. We'll,  I slowed down and explained each step as I was going so he could follow along.

He chose the Pun Fun stamp set from Stampin' Up!  He used the cat and I jumped for the Hippo. He wanted to decorate with a lot of buttons so I dig out my buttons embossing and gave him many buttons in tempting turquoise and Pacific Point.

And here is our final product!

Not so Seriously- Best Friend Birthday

I wanted to make a lighthearted Birthday card for my best friend, Tab. On the front of the card it reads:  "I got something fabulous for your Birthday!!!"

Open the card and it says: "And I'm thoroughly enjoying it!"

I'm sure she'll appreciate the humor in that.
