Up, Up, and Away Thank You–CASE

Greetings!

I fell in love with this card the very moment I saw it on Pinterest.  I loved the soft colors and the whole cartoon-y look of it.  I just absolutely LOVE the new in Colors Stampin’ Up! has come up with:
Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana, and Baked Brown Sugar.
With colors that beautiful, there are are going to be so many possibilities!  I can’t wait to get started.  The only problem…. what colors am I going to use first?!

For my first card, I chose Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding… along with ever faithful So Saffron and Whisper White.

Up Up & Away Thank You

Teal Thanks

Greetings Stampers!  I absolutely LOVE Taken with Teal and it disappoints me that the color was discontinued.  I really wish I had the money at the time and I would have stocked up on the discontinued color and others.  Sigh…  There is the chance, though that the color may come back in the future as an “in color”.  Who knows!

This card was inspired by Sandi MacIver at Stamping with Sandi.  She is truly a creative genius as far as I’m concerned.   She’s one of my favorites that I go to when I’m looking for my Mojo.

This card was created using the following tools / supplies:

  • Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die
  • Embosslits Beautiful Wings
  • Four Frames Stamp Set
  • Just Believe Stamp Set
  • Style Beautiful (background on label)
  • Halfback Pearls
  • Linen Thread
  • Decorative Label Punch
  • Dimensionals

Teal Thanks

Only half of the butterflies are adhered to the card, I was working on the image of them looking like they were fluttering and flying off the card.Teal Thanks 2

Here is a close-up of the sentiment.  I used one of the stamps from Style Beautiful as a background on the sentiment tag.  It’s hard to see in the picture, but it’s there.  Teal Thanks 3

Believe

Good morning!  My Mojo is flowing, it’s almost 2 in the morning, but I’m afraid to stop when I’m on a roll like this.  Things seem to be easily coming to me and I would hate to crash my Mojo train!  lol  Yes, I’m tired & rummy, but too stubborn to quit and go to bed, where I really do belong.  Sooooo anyway, I used Stampin’ Write Markers on the stamp to get the pink pirouette on the petals and pear pizzaz on the leaves and stems.  There are a lot of things about this one that were inspired by Chiaki Haverstick. on Pinterest.  I just LOVE Pinterest!  I have run across so many adorable cards and projects.  Once I get started, though I can go and go and go without any concept of time.

Just Thank You - Keeping it Simple

Soft colors and keeping it simple was the goal I had in mind for this card. I still love my Just Believe stamp set as much now as I did when I first got it!

Brayer Fun

Yup, I was feeling restless and that I was doing the same projects the same way... so I decided to do some things with my brayer to shake things up a bit.  This card is defintely vivid with a lot of color!  I like the way the different hills & valley' turned out with the different depth.

Colors used:  Summer Sun (retired), Ruby Red (retired), Close to Cocoa (retired), Bravo Burgundy, & Basic Black.

It didn't really take a whole lot of work to make this card, but I like the way it's unique and eye catching!  I wander if I should get a lot more of these made up in case there are more requests like what happened with the deer card I made a while back.   The Buck card below, though was done with sponging instead of brayering.

Well, anyway, after working with this card, I realized I need to start adding the brayered technique a lot more to my bag of tricks.  ;)

I wish many blessings and Inky hugs for you & your family!

To Be Believed

I am practically jumping up and down I'm so excited (I never have been one for patience).  I am expecting a huge order from Stampin' Up! that was ordered last Thursday thanks to my generous son, Danny, but with the Pre-order of a new Holiday Mini that was released, they were behind on the orders.  grrrr!  I've NEVER had to wait this long for a Stampin' Up! order in my life because I always seem to time it before when there was not really anything going on.  It would kill me to live somewhere back east, where it usually takes 6-7 days for orders to be delivered.  That's my reward for living so close to Utah where Stampin' Up! is based out of.

Anyway, while impatiently waiting for my order to arrive, I have had a really hard time trying to make anything because my Mojo is all thinking about the 12 beautiful stamp sets, 2 die's for my Big Shot, 2 punches, and 5 re-inkers for the new In Colors for this year.

Here is what I have struggled to come up with:

The rose buds were made from the wings of my Bird Builder Punch.  The outside of the bud (green part) not sure what they are called in a flower, but it's the part that connects the flower to the stem, anyway that was made from the wing and the tail of the bird punched out.

The bouquet of rose buds is in front of lattice that was rolled through my Big Shot with the lattice die.  Rolled out some butterflies with my embosslits die that embosses & cut's 5 different shaped butterflies.

Sentiment is stamped from the Just Believe stamp set and punched out from my Curly Label punch.

All of that was put on a Top Note mat.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Blessings & Inky Hugs!
