Cracked Glass Technique

I made this card for my amazing husband. 25 years later and I would marry him all over again.
The technique on this card is cracked glass. I stamped the images I wanted with soft suede,  covered the whole area worth versa mark and clear embossing powder,  hit the heat gun to it,  covered again with clear embossing powder... repeated this 3 times and then put the project in the freezer. Once frozen I bent in several places,  which left several cracks and then distressed with soft suede on a sponge dobber. Ta-daaa!  Cracked glass!

Your Own Kind of Beautiful

Origami birds on water.

Nothing real special about this card.  I have a feeling this card is going to be one of those that hangs around for a long time.  It's so hideous I just can't bring myself to punish somebody enough to give this to them.  lol

Best Wishes in Floral

Here's a bright combination that's eye catching.  Looking at the tone of yellow seperately, I never imagined how it would have coordinated so well with the bright pink and the floral blend.  I'm glad I took the chance and combined them.  The Bakers' Twine "ties" everything together.  lol  ;)

A Bright Christmas

Greetings!

Here's a traditional Christmas card, adorned with Christmas lights.  You can't quite see, but the lights are shiny from heat embossing.  The "Bright" sentiment pops from the Dimensionals and the card is addorned with colored bling gems.

A Christmas Filled with Love

Greetings!

I love the colors of this card.  Once again, not quite traditionally bright green & red.  Stamp set's from this card vary from Joann's to Close to My Heart.  Yes I said it, Close to My Heart.  I picked up a bunch of stamp set's that were priced right at a yard sale this past summer.

Little Holidays Girl

Hi again!

I'm updating my website with cards that I've been making, but haven't had or made the time to upload them to my website, so please bare with me.  This card is made using an old favorite of mine called Greeting Card kids.  it's so versatile, there's stamp images for Halloween, First Day of School, Valentines Day, and Christmas.  It's really cute!  One blessing that I'm not a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator anymore is that I can continue to get away with using my old favorite stamp set's, where normally I could only use stamp set's from the current catalog.

The inside sentiment is from Bold & Basic Greetings.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks!

Comfort and Good Cheer

Greetings!  i love the colors of this Christmas card.  It's definitely not done in the traditional green & red.

I would love to hear from you! Please share your comments.

Thanks!

Happy Unicorns

Greetings!

My eldest grand daughter, Kady has been after me for quite a while to make her a card.  She didn't care what kind of card, she just wanted one.  She won't be having her 7th birthday for another couple of months and I know there's no way she'll wait until then for a card, so I looked through my stash and found the perfect stamp set / die combination that suits her personality.   Unicorns.  The card needed to be bright & sparkly, just like her personality.

Here's what I came up with:

A jean's pocket with a rainbow / cloud patch and a Mamma and baby unicorn.  I used Dazzling Diamonds on the horns and Joann's Fairy Dust glitter around the sentiment.

I found the Hero Arts stamp and cut combination at Joann's a while back and I had my grand daughter's in mind when I picked up the set.  I'm glad that I got to use them.

Sympathy Card

This sympathy card was created for one of the tenants we had when we were managing the apartments.

One of our tenants has lost her battle to cancer. It has been a long struggle for both her and her husband. I admire him for how he tended to his wifes needs with very little regard for his own.
I hope he can use this time to heal his broken heart and learn to get along through life without his best friend beside him.
RIP R.K.

Masculine Angler

Greetings!

Today I finished a masculine card that i had been working on for a while now.  When I feel like a card isn't coming together the way I feel it should, I put it aside and work on something else until I decide on something.  Well, I was able to not only get this card finished, but another one that I had started recently.

This card was created using the following supplies:

Stamp Set/s:  Angler and Messages for Mom for the sentiment
Punch/s:  Word Window & Modern Label
Color Medium:  Watercolor blending pencils, watercolor paper, Blender pen, & a sponge dauber with Soft Suede around edges of the mat/s
Colors used:  Soft Suede, Real Red, Basic Black

I would love to hear from you! Please share your comments.

 Have an awesome day!

Pennant in the Clouds

Greetings!

I decided i would shake things up and step outside of my comfort zone with this card.  I normally don't do the cutesy cutesy cards with bright fun colors.  I'm more floral / vintage with earth tone colors.

This card was created using the following items:

Stamp Set/s:  Pick a Pennant and Treehouse Adventure (used for stamping a few of the clouds)
Big Shot items:  Playful Pennants Framelits dies
Punch/s:  Cupcake Builder punch (to create puffy clouds)
Misc: Bling Gems

Bill has his card displayed on the gun cabinet.  lol

Stampin' Up! Treats!

I love getting new treats in the mail, especially if those treats are of the Stampin' Up! variety. Its been soooo long since I've gotten anything from SU and i was pkeasantly surprised to see the bundled / matching awts that are available. The Thinlit and Framelit dies match the stamp sets just beautifully.

In this card i used the Stitched all Around stamp set and one of the Stitched Labels Framelits die's with the colors Pool Party and Lovely Lilac.

Wishing you the Best

Good morning!

I couldn't wait for my Stampin' Up! Order to come in so i could get started with my new goodies!

Now that everything has been properly put away in it's place i can commence to creatin'.

This card was created using the Floral Frames stamp set and coordinating Foliage Frame Framelits Big Shot die set. The Bigz Top Note die was also used.

You cant tell very well, but there are glittered accents using Dazzling Diamonds. _

I would love to hear your thoughts on this one.

Yeah, it's been a While...

Wow!  Where had the time gone?!  Well, since my last post 4 years ago, I got an area to set up my craft supplies.
So, here's what I've come up with so far...
