  • Bundled in Love stamp set
  • Short and Sweet stamp set

Masculine Congratulations

Good evening everyone!  I went through and did an inventory of cards I have accumulated and have come to the realization that I am in need of masculine cards and congratulations cards.  So, why not combine them?  I set out with the daunting task of coming up with one.

I’m pretty pleased with how the bear turned out.  I stamped the image with Versa Mark and dusted Perfect Pearls from Ranger of it.  The result, a holographic image that changes color / density, depending on what angle you look at it.  I included several shots at different angles to show the shimmer.

This card was created using the following supplies:
Masculine Congratulations
  • Wildlife Reserve stamp set
  • Well Scripted stamp set
  • Square Lattice embossing folder
  • Circle Scissor
  • Twill Tape from my stash
  • Perfect Pearls from Ranger

Easter Rabbit–Mojo Monday Challenge

Good evening!  Wow has today been busy non stop.  It first started, my husband and my daughter both had Dr. appointments, at least they were the same time.  While at the pharmacy I got a call from my oldest daughter in a panic.  She had stepped away from my one year old grand daughter, who was in her crib to go to the restroom.  Well, my daughter came out & saw Kaydance kind of sitting up/ leaning against the side of the crib almost laying down with her back turned to my daughter.  Well, she was just allert a few minutes prior to my daughter leaving the room, she turned Kaydance over and she wasn’t moving, her lips were blue – purple and she wasn’t breathing.

Well, my daughter picked her up and all of a sudden Kaydance gasped for breath & started screaming!!!!!!!!!  My daughter called me in a panic… my heart just about jumped out of my chest!  My husband and youngest daughter dropped what we were doing in town and rushed home to take Kaydance to the E.R. for an evaluation just to make sure she was okay.  I haven’t been that frightened in a long time!

So, that’s how my day went.  We are now home and my grand daughter is here with us.  We are taking shifts tonight and not allowing her out of our sight while she’s sleeping.  The E.R. said they think it was a small seizure.  They didn’t know why it happened, but wants her to follow up with her pediatrician to follow up with a neurologist.

So, here is a challenge card my 4 year old grand son & I worked on this evening for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  The stamp set used is Well Scripted for the sentiment and Perfect Dots embossing folder.  My grandson placed the rabbit, Easter egg, & chick-a-dee.

Good Luck Owl

My Aunt has a friend who is into owls and has decorated her bathroom with that theme. She asked me if I could make something with owl’s. So, it’s time to put on my creativity hat and see what I can come up with. I tried to add a sentiment that would be uplifting, because if it’s in the bathroom, her friend will look at it while she’s getting ready to start her day.

Hmmm, why would someone put a card in their bathroom you may ask?! Well, my Aunt brought up a very good point that most people oooh and ahhh over cards they receive, but the card ultimately ends up getting thrown in a junk drawer or sometimes they even find themselves in the garbage. Why not frame the card in a picture frame?! That way it can hang on somebody’s wall as a decorative piece and it will last forever where everyone can view and appreciate it?!

This card was created using the following supplies:
  • Brayer (Used the Brayer to apply ink to the texture plate, which left the inked design on the cardstock)
  • Wood texture plate from Fiscars
  • Bird Builder Punch for the branches
  • Owl Builder punch
  • So Happy for You stamp set

Three Little Words

It seems here lately that I can’t sneak away to my scrap room without my 4 year old grandson, Dylan being right by my side.  It doesn’t matter the chore, he is up for the task.  Anything to be able to get to play with Nana’s toys.  He’s a really good helper.

Every time we start to make a card, he does his best to convince me to use his favorite color, Pacific Point.  I like Pacific Point, too.  It’s such a fun & happy color.

Stamp sets used are:  Three Little Words & Sincere Salutations.

Colors used are:  Whisper White, Pacific Point, & Marina Mist.

Teal Thanks

Greetings Stampers!  I absolutely LOVE Taken with Teal and it disappoints me that the color was discontinued.  I really wish I had the money at the time and I would have stocked up on the discontinued color and others.  Sigh…  There is the chance, though that the color may come back in the future as an “in color”.  Who knows!

This card was inspired by Sandi MacIver at Stamping with Sandi.  She is truly a creative genius as far as I’m concerned.   She’s one of my favorites that I go to when I’m looking for my Mojo.

This card was created using the following tools / supplies:

  • Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die
  • Embosslits Beautiful Wings
  • Four Frames Stamp Set
  • Just Believe Stamp Set
  • Style Beautiful (background on label)
  • Halfback Pearls
  • Linen Thread
  • Decorative Label Punch
  • Dimensionals

Teal Thanks

Only half of the butterflies are adhered to the card, I was working on the image of them looking like they were fluttering and flying off the card.Teal Thanks 2

Here is a close-up of the sentiment.  I used one of the stamps from Style Beautiful as a background on the sentiment tag.  It’s hard to see in the picture, but it’s there.  Teal Thanks 3

Mojo Floret Thank You

I seemed to have a really hard time getting this design to come to form.  I’m thinking it was because of the Simply Scrappin’ set I was using.  Sigh.  I seemed to struggle with this card from the very beginning, I think that’s why I wasn’t very happy with how it turned out.  It seems to be lacking something, but I didn’t want it to be too busy and wanted to stay as close to the sketch as possible.

Good morning Stampers!  What a beautiful day, isn’t it?!

Winds have been blowing all night.  The sun isn’t up yet, but  I’m confident The Lord will give us a beautiful day to enjoy.  Even if it’s cloudy as long as I can look at the beautiful smiles on my grand babies faces, my day will be beautiful.

This card design challenge is from Freshly Made Sketches.  It is the first sketch they ever posted September 2-11 found from the

Hearts from the Heart

When I first started out with this card, I was CASE’ing it from Kathy Black's project, but once I got started, it took on a life and identity all it’s own.  Looking at the two, you would never guess they were supposed to be alike.

There are hearts everywhere on this card from the embossed hearts on the base, the little hearts on the white piece, the heart Build-a-Brads, and the double combined hearts.  The sentiment is embossed in red embossing powder.  I hope you like it!

Love You Much - Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge entry

Greetings Stampers!

Here is my entry for Monday’s challenge.  I used specialty paper for the bottom piece, shimmer red paper, and then Basic Grey and Basic Black for the remainder.  And Well Scripted for the stamp set.

The pretty little flower is crocheted.  It’s a Fleurette from Stampin’ Up!’s Accents & Elements line that is now discontinued.  I think they are very beautiful and I love them very much.  I use them sparingly because they are no longer available., but thought they would be a good fit on this card.

Happy Razzle Day to You!

I thought it would be nice to create a lattice-type border on the side of a card. Once I did that, the white area looked too lonely and in need of something so I ran it through my Big Shot with the Flower Garden embossing folder. The Lots of Tags Label 2 that the sentiment is on is perforated around in an oval, so I cut the Whisper White along the oval to make it smaller and to fit perfectly in the matt I had created.
Colors used on this card are: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White.
Stamp Set: Friendly Phrases.
