Get Well Soon in Paisley

Greetings!  

I decided I needed to add some Get Well Soon cards to my collection.  I love paisley's and haven't done any in a while, so that's what i did.

Floral Get Well Soon–Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge

Greetings!  My daughter gave me a book mark from our local library.  I thought beautiful bird and flowers would look wonderful on a get well soon card!
I incorporated this card with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

My Valentine

I pieced the little girls dress to match the same pattern as the designer cardstock on the base of this card.  Added glitter to the heart in the little girl,s hand and there you have it!

Get Well Soon

I’m not entirely sure what I was thinking when I started making this card.  I kept putting things together, hoping that something would come to me as I went along.  It didn’t – so, this is what I ended up with.  I used Velvet Flock on the boot to create more of a 3 D effect.  I used bronze embossing powder on the horse shoes and stamped the horse & rider image with versa mark with the sentiment over the image. I tried to use “manly colors” so a man would feel comfortable getting a card like this.  “)

Cowboy Get Well Soon - Bright Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge Entry

My current goal is to work on as many masculine cards as I can.  There's nothing that says the colors can't be bright & cheerful?!  I spent most of the day with my Aunt Shirley.  I had such a pleasant peaceful feeling all day.  I'm so glad God gave me a day like today.  It was warm, in the 70's with a slight breeze.  Thankfully there were no bee's or wasps out.  My Aunt has cancer and has bravely accepted that her time is coming soon.  I have not yet reached the same understanding and would rather help her fight it all the way.  It breaks my heart to think of not having her in my life so I need to appreciate every moment I have with her.  Maybe that's why I felt so good today?  ")

After I've finished this card, I thought the stamped images went well with the theme.  You know, get well soon, as in "get back in the saddle again"!!!
