Love is Like a Butterfly

Here is the fourth card I made for Bill's cousin.  She has really good taste.  She knew exactly what she wanted.
The design of this card was actually inspired by my daughter,  Chelsey.
Every once in a while I'm lucky enough for her to venture in my craft room to see whY I'm doing.  On rare occasions she'll make a card.  This is one that she originally designed.

This card was created using the following supplies:
  • Stamp Set/s:
    • Flight of the Butterfly
    • Butterfly Prints
    • Defining Alphabet
    • Define Your Life
  • Punch/s:
    • Circle Punch
    • Butterfly Punch
    • Round Scallop Punch
    • Decorative Label Punch
    • Small Butterfly Punch

Anniversary Cheer!

Greetings Stampers!

As some may know, today is Bill's an my 18th Anniversary.  I got up this morning, came into my craft room, and there was a beautifully made card!

After Bill & I turned in for the night, Chelsey put this card together!  This is a testament to her creative ability.  I have been trying to convince her to make cards with me, but she always declines.  Every once in a while she'll express interest with different "tools of the trade".  She was playing with the Big Shot the other day.

I know she's very creative because she is my creative consultant.  Every time I make a card, she gives me feedback as to what looks good or what might look better.

So, this is a huge step for her and I am very proud of her for exerting herself and putting this together.

Thanks for stopping by!

Flighty Thanks

I just love butterflies! This card was inspired by Dawn O's Website (I told you I loved this website!) I stamped the butterfly immages with white pigment ink, used Heat & Stick Powder, heated it, and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds and then re-heated to seal in the glitter so it wouldn't flake. Then I punched them out with the matching butterfly punch, and then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to perfectly place the outline of the butterflies' wings and body. The below shot is at a different angle to try to capture more glitter. For an added touch since the matt had black in it, I inked up a little flower from the same set and stamped the ribbon. (before doing this, make sure the ink doesn't bleed on a separate piece of ribbon).

This card was created with the following - Stampin' Up! Supplies unless otherwise noted.
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Paper: Pink, Black, confetti white, and Certainly Cellery
Ink: Whisper White Craft ink & Basic Black classic ink
Goodies: Ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds
Tools: Heat and Stick Powder, Butterfly Punch, and stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement.
