CASE–English Birthday

Greetings!  I was looking through my old card database for something to CASE.  I found an old Spanish Birthday card that I created back in 2011, so figured I would CASE it and create an English version. Please refer to the labels listed below for supplies used to create these cards.

Thinking of You

Greetings!
As you may know, Stampin’ Up! has announced a change in their color line-up starting the beginning of their new catalog launch.  Thinking back to the last time they changed colors around, some of my favorites were discontinued.  I remembered my disappointment at having to say good bye to those that were leaving.  These colors I find myself rarely using because I don’t want to run out. A few of those colors are included in this card: Sage Shadow, Pale Plum, and Orchid Opulence.
The sentiment was stamped from the All Year Cheer stamp set.  The flower & stem was stamped and then ran through my Big Shot with Hero Arts Floral stamp set & matching Sizzix die’s.

Embossed Thank You

My husband, daughters, and grand kids all went to town, I was hurting too bad, so I decided to stay home.  I was hoping to be able to catch up on some of my stamping, but I was only able to achieve one card today.  “(  Well, one card is better than no cards!

Stamp Set’s used:  Because I Care for the sentiment and Fresh Vintage.  The embossed image is the Flower Garden embossing folder.  This card originally inspired by Stampin with Kris.

Ribbon of Hope

If you are wandering why I'm using this set so often here lately, it's because my adopted Brother ordered 2 bundles of cards to use for a fund raising even to fight Cancer.  (of course I gave him a discount to help further his cause).  Anyway, this particular stamp set, Strength & Hope was a special stamp set that Stampin' Up! made available for a very short time.  The proceeds from purchasing the stamp set were donated for Breast Cancer research. If you'll notice words in the background are:  Courage, Hope, Believe, Unity, Survivor, Caring, Together, Love, Kindness, Support, Strength, Blessed, and Thank You.

Be on the look-out for cards of different varieties.  ")

Birthday Sails

Greetings Stampers!

I hope your weekend went well!  It's too bad it had to draw to a close, but all good things must end, right?!

To get an aged / vintage feel, I took the top stamped layer, wadded it up in a ball several times, straightened it out flat with a bone folder, and lightly ran my Crumb Cake ink pad across so only the raised part of the paper would pick up the ink.  (this can be easy to over-do so be careful when doing this).

The anchors on the base layer was stamped with Craft Whisper White.  If you don't have Whisper White to stand out from the dark background, you can always emboss with white embossing powder.

This card was made with the following Supplies:

  • Stamp Set/s-
    • The Open Sea
    • Messages for Mom
  • Punch/s-
    • Scallop Trim Border Punch
    • Spiral Notebook Punch
  • Misc-
    • Crop-A-Dial
    • Large Eyelets
    • Dauber
    • Dimensionals
    • Hemp Twine
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Upsy Daisy Thank You

With this Thank You card I used Daffodil Delight and Baja Breeze.  I used my lacey circles die from Spellbinders and embossed with my Pacific Blue embossing powder.  The littl faux buttons up at the top was created with my Sweet Buttons Embosslits die.  It embosses AND cuts the card stock at the same time when it runs through the Big Shot. The "Thank you" sentiment is from the Because I Care stamp set.

Remember, I would appreciate any kind of feedback you may have!  That's how we learn & grow.

Many Blessings & Inky Hugs!

24-7

Here is a feminine card I worked on last night.  I actually didn't know what kind of card it was going to be until I had it decorated and I was looking for a sentiment that I felt would fit well.  It just so happened it was a small circle that I could use with my Hodgepodge hardware.

A lot of items were used on this card, though I was trying to make it not look too busy.

Stamp Sets Used:  Baby Blossoms and Hodgepodge Happiness
Cardstock used:  Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, Designer Paper, and Certainly Celery
Ink Used:Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzaz, Blushing Bride, Rose Red
Other Ites used:  Stamp-a-ma-jig, seam binding, HodgePodge Hardware, Brads, Dimensionals

GreenHouse Garden - Also recognized Blog Find of the day for May 13!

Good Morning Stampers! Wow! What a beautiful morning God has blessed us with! The sun is shining, there's no wind, and it's expected to be up in the 80's today! In one of the fields beside us, I think they are growing peas, there are a bunch of quail running around in the field pecking at the seads that are on top of the ground that didn't get planted.  Hey, everyone's gotta eat, right?  ")

I thought today would be the perfect time to share 2 cards with you that I made just the other day. They are as bright & cheerful as the day is starting.  I got hit with some Mojo and have been totally inspired so I've been in such a mad rush to make cards as I don't want the inspiration to go unwasted, I didn't even want to stop long enough to take pictures, transfer them to the laptop, and upload them to the website. Anyway these two cards are made using the Greenhouse Garden stamp set and the vintage wallpaper embossing folder from Stampin' Up!

CASE -able

Here is a card that was inspired by another card I saw online. I'm not sure where I found it now. The card has no sentiments on it, so i'll be able to use it spur of the moment if there is an out of the ordinary need to give someone a card. *shrug*.

A Stamp-a-ma-jig was used for perfectly stampin the flower and Linen Thread was used to tie the button to the half circle cardstock.

Thanks for looking! Happy Stampin'!
