Whimsy Birthday

I haven't built a card since before we moved in July, so I figured a colorful Birthday card was in order :-)

Birthday Scoops!

Greetings!
I was in the mood to create something fun for a change.  I couldn’t wait to use the new in colors…. they are so yummy!
The stamp sets I used are Sweet Scoops, Itty Bitty Bits, and Hearts a Flutter. 
I used the brayer on the cardstock.  It was all white and had embossed lines that looked perfectly like a waffle cone, so I brayered with Baked Brown Sugar and wiped off the ink from the embossed area with a paper towel, which revealed a version of a waffle cone. 
New in-colors used on the ice cream cone are Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana, and Baked Brown Sugar for the cone.

Cherish–Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Greetings!  Here is my Freshly Made Sketch Challenge entry. 

I used the stamps from my stash that are non Stampin’ Up!, but anytime I see butterfly images, especially with a vintage-type feel, I have to get them.  These stamps were actually on sale at JoAnns.  They were 97cents.  Regularly 9$ for the stamp set, they were marked down to 2.99, and then I guess there was an additional discount on top of that.  At the register they rang up as 97 cents.  Feeling guilty at already getting them at the 2.95 price, I questioned the cashier and she went back and looked to make sure.  Sure enough, all the stamp sets I got were all 97 cents.  My first instinct was to go back & get more of the stamp set’s, but I made a promise to myself that I would only purchase items that I know I would definitely use for sure. 
The brads at the bottom are created with my Build-a-Brad kit with the stamped image from my Itty Bitty Bits stamp set.

Welcome Baby - Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challnge

Greetings!
Here is a sketch challenge I completed from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. 

Slowly but surely I’m increasing my stock of Baby cards.  I’ve been doing my best to keep the colors at light yellow & greens.  To change things up on this card, I used Pretty in Pink as matt’s.
This card was created using the following supplies:

• Everyday Celebrations
• Itty Bitty Bits
• Short and Sweet
• Perfect Dots embossing folder
• Faux Button brads
• Itty Bitty Shapes punch
• Modern Label punch
• Word Window punch

This card was Cased by Jean from Jean Stamps. I really liked the color combination that was used: Close to Cocoa, Barely Banana, & Sage Shadow. I used Stampin' Write markers to color the flower stamp and included the sentiment that came with the Watercolor Trio stamp set. Embossed the Barely Banana matt with the Elegant Flowers embossing folder and finished it off with a ribbon and a few large eyelets.

It's the Thought card was created with the It's the Thought stamp set that can be selected as a Free Hostess set. I added some butterfly buttons from the Itty Bitty Bit's stamp set, buttons, & shaped punch.
