Enjoy the Journey

Here's a card I finally made, Bill told me to try making something, it might pick up / lift my mood a little bit.  My heart still feels heavy but at least I feel productive anyway.

The colors I used to water color the flowers from the Fast & Fabulous stamp set are Poppy Parade and Old Olive.  The sentiment is from It's the Thought stamp set and the "together" is a chipboard sentiment that I had in my stash.  The card is inspired by Vicki B.

God Bless you and thanks for stopping by!!

I think the Mojo is Back!

So, here is a card I was in a mood to make. I think I have figured out why I "think" I've lost / misplaced my Mojo. Here lately I have been pushing myself to go above and beyond on my cards. To take them up a notch and make them better. I have been running around in circles trying to make them better and greater that all I've been doing is running around in circles with nothing getting finished or accomplished.

I have decided that for a while (unless something strikes me), I am going to start "Kiss" ing my cards. Keep It Simple S.... Silly. For the sake of being chastised for being negative against myself, I have chosen to use the name Silly instead of Stupid for this annogram.  :)

Anyway, I kept it simple & basic and I don't think it turned out too bad.  Besides, less is sometimes more.

Before Bill, my dear husband of going on 18 years was medically retired (construction worker) he still has the "eye".  He spots right off any abnormal levels with anything!  A room, furniture, signs, pictures, etc...  It drives him crazy when things are uneven.  I emboss different shapes in the background that makes the rest of the card look un-even.  With this card, he says it looks like it's not straight.  He's right, it does LOOK like it's not straight, but it is.  You've got the bottom mat embossed with lines at a slant AND you've also got the Designer Paper under the flowers, they are slanting as well.

So, I hope you enjoyed that little story.  Ingredients used to make this card are down below as labels.

Remember, I appreciate comments and being followed.  If you have followed me and would like me to follow you, please leave a comment with your web address and I will return the favor!  :)

Easter Inspirations

As soon as the sun came up this morning I knew it was going to be a magnificent day!  The sun is shining, it's a bright Spring day, birds are flying around singing their songs, the trees are budding, the grass is green, and I look out on my doorstep towards the East and I can see fields and fields of crops that are getting ready to grow.  A few puffy lazy clouds in the sky help to complete the perfect Spring picture.

These cards were made with Easter in mind, but they would work through out the year.  The Easter sentiment on the teal one would need to be changed, of course, but they would still work.

The Power of Prayer

The Power of Prayer

Good morning! The power of prayer can be an amazing thing! My father-in-law was taken into the hospital for a collapsed lung. He has OCPD (lung condition where patient has problems breathing). It seems a hole formed in his lung and all the air he was breathing was escaping out of that lung & filling his chest cavity with air. They put a hose through his ribs to suck out the air. At the very least, they were expecting to pull the hose by no earlier than this Friday. Well, they did a cat scan and it revealed the hole is just about all healed and they are going to take the tube out by today as it should be all the way healed. That's 4 days sooner than they had anticipated!!!

When we got the news about Dad, I quickly turned to those I love and care for and asked for their prayers. I asked God to make my dad comfortable and to help my mom, mother-in-law feel un alone and unafraid during this trying time.

Well obviously there were a lot of prayers because both my Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law are doing just fine!

I am dedicating these cards to the power of prayer and I hope who-ever ends up with them will experience the same kind of blessings, serenity, and comfort that I felt when I was making them!

Have a beautiful day!
