Grateful Butterfly CASE and Début

Greetings!  I was surfing on NetworkedBlogs the other day and found myself scrolling through posts on Christine Blain’s site.  She’s actually quite talented and I always look forward to seeing what she’ll come up with next.  Anyway, the picture below is from a CASE I did on her site.  (If you check out her site, please send her a comment.  (We adore comments!)
Anyway, there were a lot of punches that were used to create this card.  The butterfly punch, is brand new and this is it’s first début right here!  hehehe

The flower was created with the 5 petal flower, Fancy Flower, and Boho Blossoms punches.

Frosted Birthday Greeting

Greetings everyone!
This Birthday card is sporting a frosted embossed tile.  To create the frosted appearance I took an acrylic tile, sanded it with my sanding block until the whole surface was scratched and you couldn't see through it.  I then stamped an image with versa mark, embossed with clear embossing powder, and then hit the heat gun to it. 

I really like how the frosted tile turned out.  I think I just might have to do some more playing around with this technique!  Maybe something feminine with flowers?

Thanks so Much in Razzleberry

Now that all my orders are complete and customers are satisfied, I'm gonna start playing catch-up.  Just about my whole stash is all but depleted so I'm thinking I'm gonna work on Thank You and Get Well Soon cards along with Fathers Day Cards today (best of intentions, right?!).   

This is when it's really nice.  I can just let my mind wander so I can create.  There is no pressure to finish or work on anything. It doesn't really matter though because I'm so used to the adrenaline from pressures at work to complete, perform, and compete that I end up challenging myself with crazy goals and time lines. 

I really wish I could go back to work but since that is no longer an option I'm going to be satisfied and grateful with what I CAN do.  "Let go and let God" as my Best Partner in Crime reminds me quite frequently, even more so lately.

Wow!  The lighting really doesn't do this card justice.

Upsy Daisy Thank You

With this Thank You card I used Daffodil Delight and Baja Breeze.  I used my lacey circles die from Spellbinders and embossed with my Pacific Blue embossing powder.  The littl faux buttons up at the top was created with my Sweet Buttons Embosslits die.  It embosses AND cuts the card stock at the same time when it runs through the Big Shot. The "Thank you" sentiment is from the Because I Care stamp set.

Flighty Thanks

This is my first attempt at emboss resist. Basically you take your Versamark or any embossing ink, stamp your image or sentiment, apply & heat your clear or iradescent embossing powder, and then sponge all over the cardstock. Once you are done with this, you can take a clean dry cloth or paper towell & rub the area that is embossed and the ink should come off just the areas that was embossed. I didn't want to do it too heavy in case it didn't turn out. I got just about the look I was aiming for.
