Vintage Fun with Strength & Hope and Embossing

Having fun playing Vintage with new paper & stamps!  ;)

These two cards were inspired by Sandi Maciver.  She is another one of my favorite paper crafting Guru's.  The lady knows her paper AND she's funny.  You should read her posts, she is constantly cracking herself up!  Just adds to her charm.  She is also an Oregonian!  Go Oregon!

So, here are the two vintage cards I created.  One is done in Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake (both sound yummy don't they?!) and the other one is Baja Breeze & Crumb Cake.

I hope you enjoy!

Hope you enjoy!

Things are not yet resolved.  Please continue to pray for my family and I.  If you are not familiar with the story, please catch up here.

Blessings & Inky Hugs!

Butterfly Tri-Fold Shutter Card

Can you not tell that I love butterflies?! This card was fun to make & didn't take as long because i'm getting more comfortable with making them. The thing that takes the longest is cutting all the peices to add to the card.

The Elements of Style stamp set was used and I watercolored the flowers and distressed the edges of all the papers.

Butterfly Card in a Trinket / Gift Box

I am so excited to share this with my viewers! I had another late night where I was hurting & couldn't sleep so I decided to try my hand at something different and here is what i ended up with.
A beautiful little folded gift box filled with a surprise and a message. There is still enough room to add a gift for my adoring husband for fathers day (hence the masculine colors). I'm not sure what I'm going to put in it just yet, but I've got a little while longer to decide.
If you are interested in getting the pattern to create this box, please send me an email and I'll send it to you. The paper rose in the box was our class focus last week. I said "you can't make just one" and it stands true! I am still making them because they are so easy to make and they are beautiful. I have a bunch stored because you never know when you're going to need a paper rose ")
Anyway, thank you for dropping by!

Blessings!

Smooched Fathers Day Card

The title should actually be OVER smooched Fathers Day card. A little bit definitely goes a long way! I have been using the vanilla smooch spritz, but it's really light & iredescent compared to the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz. Other than the over smooch, I don't think it would be a bad masculine Fathers Day card.

Flighty Thanks

This is my first attempt at emboss resist. Basically you take your Versamark or any embossing ink, stamp your image or sentiment, apply & heat your clear or iradescent embossing powder, and then sponge all over the cardstock. Once you are done with this, you can take a clean dry cloth or paper towell & rub the area that is embossed and the ink should come off just the areas that was embossed. I didn't want to do it too heavy in case it didn't turn out. I got just about the look I was aiming for.

Look! Another purdy bow!
